Hay que fijarse en lo que ocurre en segundo plano para entender la actitud de los actores principales de la negociación entre ERC y el PSOE para la investidura de Pedro Sánchez. La negociación de los socialistas vascos con PNV y Bildu de un nuevo Estatuto que renueve el de Guernica pasa por la inclusión del “derecho a decidir” de algunos territorios, amparándose en el caso particular del Condado de Treviño, sito en territorio alavés pero perteneciente de Burgos (Castilla y León), y donde los municipios integrantes cuentan con mayoría nacionalista en sus consistorios. Este paso explicaría la predisposición de Esquerra Republicana a la negociación con Sánchez, aunque no se concrete la mesa de Gobierno a corto plazo #investidura2019 @eajpnv @psoe @esquerrarepublicana #negociacion #@levante_tv

You have to look at what happens in the background to understand the attitude of the main actors in the negotiation between ERC and PSOE for the investiture of Pedro Sánchez.

The negotiation of Basque socialists with PNV and Bildu about a new Statute that renew that of Guernica is included in the “right to choose” of some territories, taking refuge behind the particular case of  Condado de Treviño, situated in Alava’s territory but being part of Burgos (Castilla y León), and where the member districts count on nationalist majority in their municipalities.

This step would explain the predisposition of Esquerra Republicana to the negotiation with Sánchez, although the government’s table is not achieved in short term.
