09 Nov The newest from Sanserif Creatius… on Nuevo Estilo
The “see it and love it” section of Nuevo Estilo has chosen the Bold bench by Sanserif Creatius as one of its October highlights. Thanks to Pilar Barrio and Ana Isabel Hernández, we share space with the creator’s son of Roche Bobois, competing with his sofas and armchairs… We hope that Nicolas Roche’s expressed desire to “always bring something different […] to work with new materials and finding out other ways of using them” will take cardboard into consideration. We are excited. And we definitely agree on one thing…. “Repeating oneself is boring”.

Extract: The design studio by Ana Yago and José Antonio Giménez presents Bold, a seat with an ecological conscience.
You define it as… A multipurpose bench made of corrugated cardboard that can grow indefinitely.
Why this material? We want to create furniture and objects that respect the environment; and cardboard is a perfect sustainable alternative since it is 100% biodegradable.
What about its shape? We love incorporating typographic elements into our designs: we have a “Coma” room divider, the “Spanih toupee” tab is an “ñ” and now Bold, is the bold variant of a letter that draws either a “b” or a “d”.
